I first painted Scooby and Pixie 9 years ago, when I first rescued Pixie. Since I brought the little, timid Pixie home, she has blossomed. She placed her paws firmly under the table and put Scooby in his place. Scooby took the path of least resistance and let her do as she liked.
Scooby is 10 years old this month and Pixie is about the same age. I managed to get them in a similar position to the original painting and so – Scooby and Pixie at 10.
I can also see the changes to my style and execution. One thing that remains constant is my love of colour, brighter than ever!
