Mandy

I can now post this painting as it has gone to its forever home.

This is a portrait of my good friend Mandy and I painted it as a gift for her 60th birthday. We spent a lovely drunken evening reminiscing about our misspent youth at a party organised by her children.

I had fun painting it and the reception it got when I presented it was worth all the work.

I decided to add the reference photo. It was not a clear photo and I could not use her personally as it was to be a surprise. However, we have known each other since our teens, and I believe that I have caught her personality despite the fuzzy reference photo.
